What size containers do you offer?Containers come in very standardized sizes as they were originally used for ocean cargo. Sizes include 10’ (extremely rare), 20’, 40’ and 45’. The 40’ and 45’ containers are also available in what is called a high cube, which is one foot taller than a standard container. How do you deliver my container?We have relationships with various experienced transporters to get your container delivered. Deliveries are made with a roll-off trailer so you will not need a forklift or crane to unload in most cases. Can I pickup my container to save on delivery costs?While we do offer delivery; pickup of your container at one of our many yards is always an option if you have a truck and/or trailer to haul them. Containers will be loaded on your trailer for you with our container lift system. You may want to keep in mind that you will need a way to unload the container when you get it to your final destination.

Are your containers new or used?While ocean containers originate in other countries such as Hong Kong and China, they have been used (at least once) by the time they reach our shores. While most containers are used multiple times and make several journeys across the seas, some containers arrive here having only been used once. This is what is referred to as a One-Trip container. This is as close to new as you will find in the USA. Please refer to our container grading page or speak with one of our specialists for more detailed information.Container pricing and availability, like commodities, fluctuate frequently do to available supply. Numerous factors including foreign trade, time of year, port slow-downs or stoppages and strikes can influence pricing and availability. Pricing and availability is also different in different areas of the country. For instance, containers are more plentiful in coastal areas and port cities than interior areas. For these reasons we ask you to contact us for the most current pricing for your area and your specific type of container needs.The FAQ title can be adjusted in the settings tab of the App Settings. You can also remove the title by unchecking its checkbox in the settings tab.

Can I rent a container?We offer monthly rentals in limited markets. Give as a call to see if we have rentals available where you need them.

Can Denco move my container after I load it?Denco does not provide transport of loaded containers but you can check with freight forwarders and transporters and arrange that yourself.

Can I ship my container out of the country?In short, the answer is yes. However, most shipping lines require shipper owned containers (SOC) that will be used in ocean transport be certified by an independent surveyor or inspector to make sure the unit is suitable for transport. Depending on where you will be purchasing your container Denco can get you in contact with a local surveyor. Older containers may not pass inspection while most One-Trip containers will pass. We recommend having a container certified prior to purchase if you plan to ship it out of the country. Our specialists can help you navigate this process.

Where do containers come from?Most containers originate in Asia. We have partnerships with companies worldwide, including China and Hong Kong, to provide you with the highest quality containers at the best prices. Many times we know what containers may be headed this way on the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

Can I build a house with your containers?Yes! Many people are building tiny homes out of a single container and large luxury homes out of many containers. Often times containers are less expensive than standard building materials. HGTV has a show called Container Homes where they do just that.

What else can I use containers for?In addition to a great storage solution, containers have been turned into homes, portable office space, construction jobsites, shopping malls, outdoor bars, swimming pools and much, much more. Just use your imagination.

What color are your containers?Because containers originate in various locations colors can vary and are not guaranteed. If we have a specific color when you order we will make every effort to accommodate your color request. If color is paramount we can have containers painted or you can paint them once they reach their final destination.

Can containers be modified?Yes. Containers can be modified to your specifications. Some modifications we have done include installing roll-up doors, man doors, windows, interior walls and lock boxes. Speak with one of our specialists with your modification needs and we would be happy to make it happen. You can see some examples of modified containers on our modification page.

Why do containers have rust?You must remember these containers have been in the salt water environment on numerous journeys for most of their life, in some cases up to 10 years. Refer to our container grading page for information on condition and ages of containers.

Are your containers water proof?All of our containers above the AS IS grade are guaranteed to be wind and water tight. Refer to our container grading page for more information.

Are your containers rodent proof?The only way a rodent will get into your container is when you have the doors open.

Do I need to set my container on concrete or a concrete pad?No. This is unnecessary. Containers can be placed on any level surface including dirt, concrete, asphalt or rocks. The most important consideration is that the delivery transporter can get his truck and trailer into where you want your container. Speak with one of our specialists for more details.
